Seymour Hamilton was born in England in 1941. His father was a British naval officer, his mother a New Zealand singer. They immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1949, and became a Canadian citizen a few years later. He attended Queen’s University and the University of Toronto (BA and MA in English and a PhD on Science Fiction). Hamilton taught at Canadian universities (Acadia, Simon Fraser, Calgary, and Ottawa), and worked as a writer/editor for government and industry. He retired in 2003 and lives in Chelsea, Quebec, Canada.
Hamilton is the author of The Astreya Trilogy, The Laughing Princess, and The Hippies Who Meant It. River of Stones, a sequel to The Astreya Trilogy will be out soon.
